The North Carolina Indian Dental Association ("NC IDA," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through ncida.org and related services, how we use it, and the choices you have.

NC IDA is a professional association based in North Carolina, United States. You can reach us at ncindiandental@gmail.com.

2. Information We Collect

  • Interest and contact forms. When you submit an interest form or contact us, we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), professional role, city (optional), and any message you choose to send.
  • Membership applications. When you apply for membership through our application form, we collect the information requested on that form, which may include your name, contact information, professional details, and payment confirmation.
  • Correspondence. If you email us or otherwise communicate with us, we keep a record of that correspondence.

We do not use cookies or tracking pixels for advertising. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 13.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Respond to inquiries and process membership applications;
  • Communicate with you about NC IDA events, programs, and updates;
  • Manage and improve our programs and the site;
  • Comply with applicable laws and protect the rights, safety, and property of NC IDA and our members.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only as follows:

  • Service providers. We use trusted third-party tools to operate the site and our communications, including Resend (for transactional email), Google (for forms and email), and our hosting provider. These providers process information on our behalf under their own privacy practices.
  • Payment processing. Membership dues are paid through Zelle, check, or credit card via a third-party processor. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.
  • Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect our legal rights.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, to maintain membership records, and to comply with our legal obligations. You may request deletion of your information at any time by emailing us.

6. Your Choices and Rights

You may:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate information;
  • Ask us to delete your information, subject to limited exceptions;
  • Unsubscribe from non-essential email communications by following the unsubscribe link in any such email or by contacting us directly.

Our site may contain links to third-party sites such as Google Forms, Google Maps, or social media platforms. Those sites are governed by their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective" date above. Continued use of the site after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
